Cat Microchip Brandon, FL
A cat microchip is a tiny transponder, about the size of a grain of rice, that uses radio frequency waves to transmit information about your pet. A pet microchip is a permanent identification, in case your cat is lost. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination.
In the event your cat is missing, most veterinary clinics or shelters will scan your cat to see if the pet has been microchipped. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pets shoulder blades. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary to transmit the microchips unique cat or dog ID code and positively identify the pet.
At Care Animal Hospital, we utilize two of the nation’s leading microchipping companies, HomeAgain and DATAMARS. DATAMARS is an internationally recognized ISO Microchip, that is tracked domestically as well as internationally. The registration is FREE and the cost is the same as a domestic microchip.
Microchipping your cat could be the best hope of returning your feline friend back home to your family.

“As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat.”
Ellen Perry Berkley
Cats are wonderfully unique among animals.
It’s hard to tell sometimes whether they’re playing with you – or you’re playing with them. It’s that special bond between you and your cat that makes living with a cat so enjoyable.
And while cats are certainly fun and beautiful companions, we must make sure they are getting the proper medical and nutritional care they need to keep them happy and healthy for the years ahead. Over the past 25 years at Care Animal Hospital, we’ve helped thousands of cats and kittens by protecting them against sickness and disease through routine exams, various tests, and annual vaccinations.
