Pet Loss

We understand that losing a pet is like losing a close friend, with a significant impact on both you and your family. Dealing with pet loss is a difficult time for all.

The special bond that we form with animals is rewarding and unique, and after time, pets become members of your family. When the time arrives to say goodbye to our beloved companion for the last time, we offer every opportunity to comfort families in their time of loss. Our clients have the choice to spend the final moments with their beloved friend at the clinic or in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Hospice services are also available in the clinic or at your home.

Many people find it helpful to memorialize their cherished companion animal with similar burial or cremation as we do with humans. Our facility can prepare the body for burial either at home or at a memorial site. Cremation provides a safe and healthy alternative to private home burial. Families can choose from communal cremation (ashes are not returned) or private cremation. Private cremation gives families an opportunity to pay tribute to their pet as they would any other cherished family member – you may keep your pet close to the family in an adorned urn or scatter ashes over your pet’s favorite location outside.

We offer both private and communal cremation services for your pet and will take care of all the details for you. Please call our office at (813) 684-PETS (7387) and one of our staff members will help you through the entire process.

“As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat.”

Ellen Perry Berkley

Cats are wonderfully unique among animals.

It’s hard to tell sometimes whether they’re playing with you – or you’re playing with them. It’s that special bond between you and your cat that makes living with a cat so enjoyable.

And while cats are certainly fun and beautiful companions, we must make sure they are getting the proper medical and nutritional care they need to keep them happy and healthy for the years ahead. Over the past 25 years at Care Animal Hospital, we’ve helped thousands of cats and kittens by protecting them against sickness and disease through routine exams, various tests, and annual vaccinations.
