Dr. Stephanie Kane
Veterinarian
Dr. Stephanie Kane earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. She further advanced her clinical training through a one-year emergency and specialty medicine internship. She is deeply committed to the veterinary profession and remains actively involved in the local veterinary community, as well as serving on the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Council.
She enjoys working with a wide variety of animals, including small animals and exotics. Dr. Kane has a strong professional interest in small animal surgery and is highly experienced in surgical care, confidently managing a range of complex cases. Her dedication to patient care and clinical excellence has earned her recognition as one of the top veterinarians in the Tampa Bay–St. Petersburg area, including being voted Best Veterinarian in 2015 through CL’s Best of the Bay.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kane enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Jack Russell Terriers. She also loves riding her horse, George, reading at the beach, and attending Gator football games.

Dr. Jon Rubinstein
Veterinarian
Dr. Rubinstein completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami and earned his veterinary degree from Tufts University. He went on to practice mixed animal medicine, followed by advanced training through a rotating internship in emergency and referral care. He has also gained extensive experience in emergency medicine and zoo animal care while working in New York City.
Dr. Rubinstein has pursued advanced training in avian and reptile/amphibian medicine, further strengthening his expertise in exotic animal care. His professional interests include all aspects of avian and exotic animal medicine, soft tissue surgery across species, and feline medicine.

Dr. Chelsea Northam
Veterinarian
Dr. Chelsea Northam was born and raised in Florida. She earned her Bachelors degree in Biological Science from Florida State University. She then went on to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine for her Veterinary education and attended University of Florida for her clinical year. Dr. Northam enjoys working with all animals and is especially interested in preventative care and soft tissue surgery for dogs and cats.
When she was not volunteering at the humane society or working at an animal clinic during school, she was performing with the FSU color-guard marching chiefs. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, reading, running, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Minnie.

Dr. Stephanie Diaz
Veterinarian
Dr. Stephanie Diaz earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. Prior to veterinary school, she gained hands-on experience working as a veterinary technician in a small animal practice. During her veterinary training, she also had the unique opportunity to work with wildlife in South Africa, including rhinos and several species of antelope.
Dr. Diaz has a strong professional interest in wildlife and exotic animal medicine, as well as soft tissue surgery and the care of geriatric pets. She is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care across a diverse range of species and life stages.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, their dogs Boomer and Valerie, and their cat Batman. She also loves relaxing at the beach, gardening, and visiting amusement parks.
